Name: Shelda Corrêa
Shelda is studying towards a career in the energy sector at the Federal University of Pará in Brazil. After beginning her degree during the pandemic, she has since gained practical experience through research, student-led initiatives and industry engagement.

Alongside this, she has taken on leadership roles within the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) student chapter and supported outreach activities, building her communication and organisational skills.
Currently researching well stimulation, Shelda is developing hands-on knowledge of oil and gas systems while preparing for her next steps into the sector. Studying near emerging exploration activity in the Amazon region also gives her a local perspective on how energy development connects with environmental and community factors.
As a My Energy Future Champion, she is keen to learn from others and grow her confidence as a future professional. She shares her journey online, helping others see what a pathway into energy can look like in practice.
