The Head of Energy Projects

Natalia works as Head of the Energy Projects Unit at the State Energy Agency of Campeche in Mexico. In this role, she coordinates the development and delivery of energy projects, working across government, industry and local stakeholders. By managing projects from early stages through to implementation, she helps turn technical plans into practical outcomes.

With experience across oil and gas, renewable energy and emerging technologies such as hydrogen, Natalia has developed a broad view of the sector. Her work involves translating complex technical information into clear decisions, supporting progress across different parts of the energy system. This means she is closely involved in how energy projects connect with economic development and local communities.

Based in a region with both strong oil production and growing renewable potential, Natalia understands how different energy sources coexist in practice. Her experience reflects the realities of balancing current energy needs with long-term transition goals, particularly in regions where resources, infrastructure and skills are evolving together.

As a My Energy Future Champion, Natalia is focused on sharing a clear and realistic view of the energy sector. She is particularly interested in encouraging more young people, especially women, to consider careers in engineering and energy. Through her outreach and communication, she helps others see how they can build a pathway into the sector and contribute to its future.
