Sourcing the energy mix of the future is going to need…

Wind Farm Manager

As a Wind Farm Manager in the energy industry, you’ll help bring clean, renewable energy to the world by harnessing the power of the wind through large windmill-like turbines. You’ll use your engineering background to run the whole wind farm site day to day, including identifying the best level to run the turbines at to generate electricity in based on the current conditions. You’ll also be in charge of safety on the site and managing the team of people who work there.

Wind Farm Managers tend to be based onsite, although you may be able to do some tasks from home. Wind farms tend to be located away from built up places like towns and cities to take advantage of the natural wind patterns, so you might find yourself working high on a hillside, or remotely supervising a wind farm that’s out at sea.

Whether you’re adjusting the speed of the turbines to account for severe weather or carrying out safety inspections on your site, as a Wind Farm Manager, you’ll be helping to ensure the efficient production of clean, renewable energy.
