Nuclear Operations Support Worker

As a Nuclear Operations Support Worker you would support the smooth and efficient running of a nuclear power plant. You would make regular checks on the equipment and machinery, reporting any defects and helping perform any necessary maintenance. You would help prepare the plant for complex start up and shut down procedures when energy production was to be halted, and carry out routine testing and radiation monitoring.

Nuclear Operations Support Workers might work in the laboratories, offices or control rooms of nuclear power plants, and these tend to be very secure environments due to the nature of the work.

Whether you’re carrying out routine repairs or helping to complete start up and shut down checklists, as a Nuclear Operations Support Worker, you’ll be a key part of the team providing nuclear energy to the world.
