Sourcing the energy mix of the future is going to need…

Maths and Science Instructor

As a Maths and Science Instructor in the energy industry, you’ll help workers gain a new understanding of important maths and science topics as they relate to the engineering operations of energy production facilities.

Based on the work they need to carry out, you’ll identify relevant maths and science topics to teach, and after gauging your students’ current level of knowledge, design and deliver lessons to help them learn those topics. You’ll set and mark assessments to measure your success and tailor your approach to match the strengths and weaknesses of each student.

Maths and Science Instructors might work anywhere in the world where an energy production company needs to educate the people who work there. You might find yourself working in other countries, and working in term-time style shifts where you spend a number of weeks with each new class and then a number of weeks back home before moving to your next assignment.

Whether you’re identifying and creating the resources you’ll need to help you explain the topics you’ll be teaching or helping a student understand how the classroom lessons relate to their job, as a Maths and Science Instructor, you’ll be helping people access skilled employment and ensuring the energy industry has a qualified, knowledgeable workforce.
