Is this the right role for you?

Sourcing the energy mix of the future is going to need…

Crane Operator

As a Crane Operator in the energy industry, you would help move equipment, materials and supplies to the right place at the right time. You’ll spend some of your time operating the crane from within the cab and some of your time directing a teammate over a radio to ensure loads are moved safely. You’ll also perform regular maintenance of the crane machinery and you might help respond to any incidents on the site.

Crane Operators work both onshore and offshore and often work in shifts which might mean early starts or late finishes. You might work directly for an engineering contractor or drilling contractor, but most crane operators work for specialist crane contractors who support larger companies.

Whether you’re assessing the risks of moving materials during severe weather or delivering equipment needed to make urgent repairs, as a Crane Operator, you’ll be helping the energy industry stay safe and switched on.
